Product description
We believe there are very few reasons to keep porcelain away from our children. So, ta-da: our porcelain bowl for porridge, cereal, and snacks—ergonomically designed for little hands.
For little hands. For big smiles. Our porcelain porridge, cereal, and snack bowls are shaped with children in mind—and are simply beautiful. The inward-curving rim and slightly raised bottom make it easier to scoop food onto a spoon. Thanks to its low center of gravity, the bowl stands securely—perfect for independent eating.
Our children’s tableware is cast from pure porcelain in a small porcelain manufactory in the Franconian Forest. The porcelain clay consists of purely natural raw materials without chemical additives. Unlike melamine, polycarbonate, and bamboo, these bowls and cups release no toxins during use, making them a great and healthy alternative to conventional children’s tableware.
The bowl is part of our porcelain series for children and adults. Available in four cheerful colors that can be mixed and matched to your heart’s content.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why porcelain and not ceramic for children's tableware?
The main difference between porcelain and ceramic lies in their material composition and firing temperature. Porcelain is made from kaolin, quartz, and feldspar and is characterized by a high melting point, while ceramic is typically made from clay and fired at lower temperatures. Porcelain has a finer, denser, almost translucent surface, which makes it particularly valuable and elegant – but also more robust. This density ensures that porcelain is less porous and therefore less susceptible to stains or odors – ideal for use as children's tableware.
Why is porcelain better than bamboo, melamine & co?
Most bamboo products contain only a minimal amount of bamboo fibers and consist largely of synthetic resin (melamine, short for melamine-formaldehyde condensation resins). Thus, bamboo tableware is neither more sustainable than melamine nor healthier. Both are prone to hairline cracks and release toxic formaldehyde when heated. That's why, for us, porcelain or ceramic is the only sustainable and healthy choice for children.
What age is the children's tableware suitable for?
Our children's tableware set, which includes a cup and bowl, is ideal for children from about 6 months, as soon as they start to eat or drink by themselves.
How long can my child use the porcelain children's tableware?
The porcelain children's tableware is durable and can be used for many years. It has sufficient capacity, so older children will also enjoy drinking tea, hot chocolate, or water from it. With good care, it can even accompany your children throughout their lives. It is suitable for children from about 6 months. But we also enjoy drinking our cappuccino from it in the morning.
Is the children's tableware free of harmful substances?
Yes – the porcelain mass of our children's tableware set consists of pure natural raw materials without chemical additives. Unlike materials such as melamine, polycarbonate, and bamboo, the cups and bowls release no toxins during use and offer a safe, healthy alternative to conventional children's tableware.
Are the colors of the children's tableware healthy?
Of course, all colors of the children's tableware are cadmium and lead-free, food-safe, and therefore absolutely harmless for you and your children.
Is the porcelain children's tableware unbreakable?
Our porcelain cups and bowls are resistant to shocks and scratches – even if they are not completely unbreakable by nature. As long as they do not hit hard, sharp edges, they usually survive falls from a table onto a wooden floor unscathed. Over time, your children can learn to handle their tableware carefully if they observe you doing the same. With good care, the porcelain can last for many years in daily family life – and perhaps even become a lifelong companion.
Is your porcelain only suitable for children?
No, it is ergonomically shaped for children's hands, but it also works wonderfully as a cup for adults or a bowl for small snacks. We love the idea that everyone in the family shares the same tableware. This way, your children intuitively learn by observation how to handle good things carefully. With a volume of 200ml, the cup is a wonderful size for cappuccino & co. And the bowl looks good with almost any content.
How is the children's tableware cleaned?
Our porcelain children's tableware is dishwasher-safe and therefore easy to clean. Alternatively, you can also wash it by hand with warm water and mild detergent.
How is the children's tableware packaged?
The children's tableware is packaged securely and sustainably in a recyclable cardboard box with pure wood wool to ensure it arrives undamaged at your home.
How is the children's tableware delivered?
The porcelain children's tableware is shipped via DHL GoGreen. Delivery is safe and reliable.

Porcelain design from the Franconian Forest
Children's tableware
Our children’s tableware is handcrafted through a meticulous process. We have overseen every step—from creating the mold to applying the glaze—with great attention to detail. This results in wonderful, unique pieces that may vary slightly in shape and/or color. The porcelain clay is mined locally in the Franconian Forest and then processed on-site. This allows us to reduce our ecological footprint despite the high temperatures in the kilns. We use solid-colored porcelain clay, as this makes the colors particularly vibrant and intense.
