SHIPPING

We ship our ZAUNKÖNIG® products wherever they’ll bring you joy—currently, as standard, within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Unfortunately, in-person pickup or delivery to a Packstation is not available. Unless otherwise agreed, delivery will be made to the address you provide.

Delivery Times

Children’s Furniture (e.g., our ZAUNKÖNIG® 3-in-1 Learning Tower)

Our handcrafted children’s furniture made of solid oak has a delivery time of approx. 4 to 6 weeks (unless otherwise stated on the product pages or at checkout). The Learning Tower (3-in-1) is shipped via GO! Express & Logistics, as they transport our children’s chairs so carefully that we can avoid using extensive packaging materials for the sake of the environment. We ship all other children’s furniture via DHL Go Green.

After order confirmation and receipt of payment, we will provide your phone number to the shipping carrier to facilitate a delivery notification or to schedule a delivery time.

All other ZAUNKÖNIG® products

We typically ship these within Germany via DHL GoGreen within 3 to 5 business days. International deliveries to Austria and Switzerland are made within 7 to 10 days after the contract is concluded (or after payment is received if advance payment was agreed upon).

Please note that there are no deliveries on Sundays and public holidays.

Partial shipments

If you have ordered multiple items, we may ship them separately—for example, if children’s furniture and accessories are ready for shipment at different times.

Of course, this will not incur any additional shipping costs for you, and we will inform you in advance.

SHIPPING COSTS

The exact shipping costs will be displayed to you at the Shopify checkout—transparently and depending on the product and destination country.

Delivery within Germany

• ZAUNKÖNIG® Learning Tower (3-in-1): free delivery by courier. 
• All other products: €7.69 (incl. VAT). Free delivery on orders of €100.00 (incl. VAT) or more.

Delivery to Austria, Switzerland and other EU countries

• The delivery charges for our children’s tableware, the ZAUNKÖNIG® Mini and accessories are based on weight and the destination country, in accordance with DHL’s rates. The exact costs (incl. VAT) for Austria, other EU countries and Switzerland are displayed at checkout.
• The delivery charges for the ZAUNKÖNIG® Learning Tower (3-in-1) via a freight carrier are €35.00 (incl. VAT) for Austria, €55.00 (incl. VAT) for other EU countries and CHF 88.80 (incl. VAT) for Switzerland

Shipping to countries outside the EU is available upon request – please feel free to contact us at hallo@znkg.de if you’re interested.

Please note: For deliveries to countries outside the EU (e.g., Switzerland), additional customs duties, taxes, and fees may apply, over which we have no control. We cannot cover these costs.

PACKAGING

At ZAUNKÖNIG®, we prioritize sustainable shipping solutions.

• Children’s furniture such as the ZAUNKÖNIG® Learning Tower (3-in-1) is shipped in sturdy cardboard boxes—without any unnecessary packing material or foam.
• We pack our handmade porcelain children’s tableware in pure wood wool, which provides reliable protection and is completely biodegradable.

We are constantly refining our packaging solutions to make them even more eco-friendly.

TRANSPORT DAMAGE

We assume the shipping risk until successful delivery to you. For commercial orders (e.g., from businesses or institutions), the risk transfers to you upon handover to the shipping carrier (§ 447 BGB).

Please therefore inspect the packaging and goods very carefully immediately upon receipt. If the packaging or goods are damaged, please send us an email immediately with photos of the damage to hallo@znkg.de (including the packaging and the shipment as a whole). Together we will find a solution.

If a signature is required upon receipt and the package is visibly damaged, you can sign with the note “accepted with reservation due to damage”—this documents the damage and allows us to claim it from the shipping provider.

RETURNS / CANCELLATION

Sometimes an item is different than expected or you simply don’t like it. Even though we hope this won’t be the case, you can of course exercise your statutory right of withdrawal.

Withdrawal Period

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period begins on the day you or an authorized person received the goods. You can find all details regarding withdrawal in our Withdrawal Policy.

The right of withdrawal applies exclusively to consumers as defined in § 13 BGB (not to business customers).

Return Process

Before you return your items, please send us an email to hallo@znkg.de so that we can track your return.

Please note: Returns of the Learning Tower (3-in-1) are handled exclusively via a pickup arranged by us through our shipping partner GO! Express & Logistics. We will coordinate the pickup date with you. The flat rate for return shipping within Germany is €45. For returns from other EU countries or Switzerland, we also arrange pickup through our shipping partner. The costs for this depend on the respective country and will be communicated to you in advance. Upon request, we will be happy to inform you of the estimated return costs before your purchase.

Please return your ZAUNKÖNIG® products in the original packaging whenever possible. Therefore, please keep the packaging until you have made your final purchase decision.

For all products that are not returned via a shipping carrier, we are also happy to provide you with a prepaid return label—simply send us an email at hallo@znkg.de. The cost of the return label will be deducted from the refund.

Important Notes

• Please do not send returns of your ZAUNKÖNIG® products freight collect – unfortunately, we cannot accept such shipments.
• In your own interest, we recommend choosing insured shipping with tracking for all ZAUNKÖNIG® products to avoid potential costs and issues on both sides.
• An exception to this is the return of the Learning Tower (3-in-1): This is handled exclusively via a pickup arranged by us through a shipping carrier. Please refer to the information in the “Return Process” section.
• You are responsible for the return shipping costs in the event of a cancellation, unless otherwise agreed upon with us.

Exceptions to the Right of Cancellation

The right of return does not apply to items made to order or otherwise customized.

Refund

As soon as we have received the returned goods, we will refund the purchase amount (minus any costs for a return label) within 14 days to the original payment method.
